Job Description: Senior Implementation Specialist
Reports To: Implementation Manager
Position Summary:
A Senior Implementation Specialist is responsible for leading customers in the implementation of Tranztec’s VIA Platform and Tranzactor (“Solution”). This includes understanding and guiding the customer through the critical phases of the Implementation. You will work in partnership with other team members, closely following a standard implementation methodology. An implementation specialist is responsible for managing 10 or more projects at any given time. Occasional travel is unlikely but may be required.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee the end-to-end project lifecycle from initiation to closure, ensuring the delivery of projects within scope, timeline, and budget.
- Participate as a key member of the implementation team charged with successfully implementing the Solution and become a subject matter expert in its functionality.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients during the implementation process. Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Lead discussions with customers regarding their business requirements and provide recommendations on usage of the solution.
- Correctly scope requirements, prioritize tasks and issues to support the project timeline.
- Drive and document implementation projects and activities, as well as customer communications in Asana (Project Management system)
- Proactively identify potential risks and issues, and develop mitigation plans to resolve
- Provide regular status updates and transparency on project progress, milestones, and risks.
- Ensure project documentation is accurate, complete, up-to-date, and within policy.
- Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards by following industry best practices.
- Remain engaged with the customer throughout the implementation. This includes managing project deadlines, understanding customer priorities, and driving through the implementation process.
- Maintain knowledge and proficiency on implementation job function, processes, products/services, and industry best practices.
Experience & Requirements
- 3-5 years prior customer facing software implementation and/or project management experience managing multiple projects concurrently.
- Strong API/Integration experience and knowledge
- Working knowledge and experience with SQL and JSON
- Must be customer driven and results oriented.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication as well as presentation skills with a great attention to detail.
- Ability to manage shifting priorities and project tasks to balance across a diverse set of projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive self-starter with a demonstrated ability to self-manage schedules, achieve quality results, and effectively prioritize deadlines with little to no supervision
- Candidate will be proficient in current technologies, including Microsoft suite of products, video conferencing applications, and configuring web software solutions.
- Proficiency with Asana project management software a strong plus
- Experience with TMS’s such as TMWSuite, McLeod, ICC, Truckmate is highly preferred
- Knowledge and Experience with Telematics solutions (ideally in trucking) a strong plus
- EDI experience including ASN Process and transportation experience a plus.
- Experience with JIRA, ZenDesk, and SalesForce is helpful
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
