Job Overview:
Society Brands is a dynamic portfolio of health and wellness brands dedicated to delivering high-quality products and exceptional customer experiences. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Shipping Manager to lead our shipping operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy and compliance with company and customer requirements.
The Shipping Manager will oversee daily shipping activities, manage a team of shipping associates and coordinate outbound shipments. This role requires collaboration with inventory, receiving and customer service teams to maintain seamless logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership
- Supervise and guide the shipping team to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Assign daily tasks based on shipping schedules and priorities.
- Train and coach and mentor team members to uphold high performance and safety standards.
- Monitor team performance and provide constructive feedback.
Shipping Operations
- Oversee packing, labeling, staging and loading of outgoing shipments in company policies and carrier regulations.
- Verify order accuracy and address discrepancies prior to shipping.
- Ensure all shipping documentation (BOLs, packing slips, invoices) is complete and accurate.
- Coordinate with carriers for pickups, delivery scheduling and issue resolution.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure shipments meet quality standards and are packaged to prevent transit damage.
- Stay updated on shipping regulations, including hazardous materials and international shipping requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
Inventory & Systems Management
- Collaborate with inventory control to maintain accurate stock levels and update system records.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track shipments, generate reports and manage workflows.
- Identify and report inventory discrepancies or shipping delays.
Process Improvement
- Identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements to enhance speed, accuracy and cost-effectiveness.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices shipping operations.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· 3+ years of experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse operations.
· 1-2 years of leadership experience in a team-based or cross-functional environment.
· Ability to lift and move heavy items.
· Strong knowledge of shipping software, WMS, and carrier systems (FedEx, UPS, USPS).
· Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
· Excellent organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
