Our Cordella Heart Failure System (CHFS) includes proactive management tools for best practice care and detection of worsening heart failure. WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a Senior Software Test Engineer you will develop current processes with the goal of scalability and with a focus on software for manufacturing and test processes. This requires knowledge of the software development process, requirements definition, and validation. You will be primarily responsible for developing and scaling the manufacturing processes for the Cordella Pulmonary Artery Sensor System (CorPASS). This position is based full-time onsite in our Naperville, Illinois headquarters. Responsibilities will include:
- Lead and support process development activities to increase throughput and ease of manufacture to support scalability.
- Design and develop LabVIEW and MATLAB custom software for manufacturing and testing purposes.
- Develop and maintain software requirement documentation.
- Develop and maintain software validation plan and protocols.
- Lead and execute software validation testing for purposes of process validation.
- Coordinate projects.
- Work closely with internal and external customers and vendors to resolve issues and provide technical support.
- Lead and direct meetings with other team members and hourly associates.
- Manage manufacturing software within repositories.
- Provide training and guidance to other employee levels in the operation and testing of software.
- Develop and participate in processing tracking metrics (process capacity tracking, etc.) and use these to drive process improvements.
- Interact with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Perform additional related actions and duties as outlined and requested by management.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- 5+ years Software Test Engineer, Software Developer or similar experience
- Experience developing manufacturing or test software
- Knowledge of LabVIEW and MATLAB
- Experience with developing software requirements and validation.
- Experience with unit testing
- Medical device software validation experience ISO13485 – preferable
- Medical device manufacturing GMP quality experience – preferable
- Strong Project Management skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly in technical writing and documentation
- Demonstrated organizational, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
EDUCATION
- BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
