About The Team
The CoverMyMeds Product Team is seeking an experienced leader to join us as the Director, User Experience. Together with our colleagues across CMM, the work we do helps patients access the medicine they need to live healthier lives.
What You'll Do
The Director of User Experience is responsible for leading a team of highly skilled UX professionals, including researchers, designers, ops specialists, and managers, to guide and unify the evolution of CMM products through a strong user experience strategy. This includes leading the team through Research and Design methodologies to influence strategic and business outcomes.
A successful UX Director leads a highly engaged team by ensuring product stakeholder needs are met through partnership and collaboration. UX Director also possesses high-level coaching abilities to support the professional development of UX professionals.
- Set the strategy: for the UX team to align work with strategy
- Talent Champion: attract and retain top talent and enable rewarding career paths for UX team within CMM/McKesson
- Own the budget: for the UX team including vendor management, tools, and employee direct and indirect expenses
- Leadership: Lead the large UX team driving high employee engagement and navigating ambiguous / dynamic environments. Coach and guide the professional development of high-performing UX professionals. Provide on-the-job growth experiences and autonomy to progress quickly on a self-directed path.
- UX SME: Demonstrate a deep understanding of user experience as a discipline and how to apply practices across different workstreams. Possess a wide array of knowledge in user experience research and design methodologies. Stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in the field of user experience.
- Strategy & Prioritization: Define the UX strategy and vision and establish short and long-term priorities to accomplish business needs.
- Advocacy: Increase the support, understanding, and awareness of the user experience team across the organization, highlighting how and when to engage them and what the key benefits are of doing so.
- Collaboration: Be a vocal UX leader, collaborating with a variety of product stakeholders on ideas and actions that enable the UX team to deliver a cohesive customer experience.
- Stakeholder SME: Understand the pharmacist, pharma, payer, patient and provider experience and what the benefits are of user experience research and design for each customer type.
- User Insights: Enable team to present discoveries to key stakeholders, both internal and external, to enable meaningful insights from user experience research
- Budget & Workforce Planning: Own development and administration of team budget and workforce planning conversations.
Skills You’ll Need
- 10+ years of relevant UX, product, healthcare, and general leadership experience
- 3+ years of people leader; preference for prior experience leading people leaders
- Possess a deep understanding of and knowledge in User Experience Research and Design methodologies. Stays abreast and shares the latest trends and developments in the field of User Experience. Knows when to apply UX process and how to coach the team on using UX process
- General Business Acumen, including how all products contribute to the segment P&L and how to manage a department budget
- Demonstrated experience managing a distributed team across multiple Product Areas
- Ability to coach and mentor people leaders and develop a strong leadership team among the UX managers including a culture of debate decide commit, and enterprise first
- Ability to work within OKR/Goalsetting frameworks and developing a roadmap for UX
- Executive presentation, storytelling, and influencing other senior leaders across departments (product, technology, finance, etc.)
- Select ability to flex into UX work execution as needed

Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree or relevant advanced certification is preferred

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
